- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the impact of cultural tourism on the development of sustainable tourism in Ammatoa Kajang, using the theory of sustainable tourism. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that cultural tourism in Ammatoa Kajang has a positive impact on increasing community income and creating jobs, but also presents challenges in the form of cultural commodification and economic inequality. From an environmental perspective, tourism has the potential to damage the ecosystem if not managed carefully. This study suggests that tourism management be carried out inclusively and participatively, involving all stakeholders to ensure economic sustainability, cultural preservation, and environmental protection.
