- Abstract
This study seeks to assess how social support influence students’ resilience in Palangka Raya. Resilience is understood as someone’s ability to cope with pressure and recover from difficult conditions, including various demands such as academic, social, economic, and career. Social support, especially from close individuals such as family, friends, relatives, and colleagues, is essential for individuals in experiencing a crisis. This research uses a quantitative correlational approach with 328 students from Palangka Raya. The study used both the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Brief Resiliency Scale (BRS) to measure the collected data. The data returned results that indicated significant influence of social support on students’ resilience (t = 2.985, p < 0.05). Social support accounts for 2.7% of the variation in resilience scores. Despite the relatively small impact as reflected from the score, social support has great significance to the development of students’ resilience.
