- Abstract
Music and education are inherent in human nature, sounds and the learning process have existed since humans were created. Church music as spiritual music for Christians is an important thing in church worship activities so there needs to be education so that it can run better. This article attempts to look at church music from the perspective of educational ideology as part of arts education. The thoughts about church music education from several figures need to be studied so that the benefits can be found more optimally in its application. This article was written using a literature study research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Church music education as a whole falls within conservative and liberal ideologies, within which, as part of arts education, there are also creative and appreciative musical activities.
