National Resilience through Religious Moderation: The Role of Young Citizen on Panca Gatra

Abstract

National resilience is a hallmark of the electricity of a country to stand all threats, demanding situations, barriers and disturbances so one can reap country wide dreams. Till today Indonesia is still within the procedure of understanding a united, sovereign, justice and prosperous society because the beliefs of the constitution. However, it is not an easy thing because there are still problems that become obstacles towards this national resilience. One of the problems is disintegration of the nation caused by religious conflicts that still threaten the lives of Indonesian people. The purpose of this paper is to 1) analyze religious moderation from the aspect of asta gatra(eight aspect) in national resilience; 2) describe the role of young citizen in the context of national resilience through religious moderation. Through a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method from various books, journals and actual websites, the author finds the conclusion that 1) religious moderation in terms of asta gatra in national resilience can be analyzed by referring to the four main indicators of religious moderation. National commitment can be developed in the ideological aspect, political aspect and economic aspect. Anti-violence and tolerance can be developed in the social aspect and acceptance of local traditions can be developed in the cultural aspect; 2) the function of younger citizen inside the context of national resilience via spiritual moderation can be finished by means of promoting fundamental equality in religious teachings, emphasizing egalitarianism as a foundation in building relationships, converting conditions in creative ways in the digital international by promoting virtual ethics.
