Abstract

Digital technologies are leveraged in intelligent construction to improve efficiency and quality in engineering projects. In this study, BIM-based intelligent construction is investigated, with a focus on transforming traditional workflows in the energy and construction sectors. An intelligent construction framework for the China Energy Engineering Corporation, termed “Two Main Lines, Three Dimensions, Four Stages,” is proposed. This framework includes two main lines—virtual and physical construction—and three dimensions of time, data, and technology, covering four lifecycle stages: intelligent design, intelligent production, intelligent construction, and intelligent operation. It provides a theoretical foundation for advancing digital transformation within the corporation.
