Abstract

The key issue in this case is the practical usefulness of the indoor areas, but the development of such areas requires the focus on making the places friendly to people regardless of their origin or ethnicity and their abilities. This study examines the channels in which interior design can be used to ensure equity, cultural sensitivity, and transitions to functional adaptability to every user. The investigation views spaces according to various age groups, gender, capabilities and cultural orientations, and emphasises human-centred approach of designing spaces that apply the concepts of universal design. The paper also examines how sensory paths, spatial orientation, and aesthetic perceptions that are culturally sensitive can be integrated in the built environment. It is an assessment of how these aspects are integrated in a very nice way to improve user experience. Examples of empirical data in educational establishments, business ventures, and government premises explain the ways in which inclusive design approaches contribute to the achievement of equity in society. The discussion clarifies how the concept of inclusive design can be applied in diverse institutional settings. The discussion emphasises the necessity to work with marginalised groups, adopt empathetic design approaches, and follow the legislative framework (e.g. the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Act). The paper then provides design suggestions that seek to create inclusive areas that at the same time promote a feeling of belonging, dignity, and effective functionality.
