Abstract

In this study, the value of the Gruneisen parameter calculated based on the experimental values of the thermal expansion and isothermal compression coefficients of the (TlGaSe2)1-x-(TlZnS2)x (x = 0.1, 0.2) solid solution, as well as the specific heat capacity at constant volume, is given in the form of a table. Through the existing thermodynamic relations, it has been determined that there is a direct relationship between the Gruneisen parameter and the packing density of atoms in the crystal lattice. The values of both parameters calculated by various methods are also given in the form of a table. Certain suggestions have been made regarding the usefulness of the existing thermodynamic relations for complex semiconductors.
