Abstract

Digital transformation in the village presents opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME)/ Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) to become the driving force of the local economy. This study examines how Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Sumbergondo Village utilize social media platforms and digital platforms to expand the market, increase income, and build community-based business networks. The method used was a qualitative case study with in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and social media platform content analysis. The results show that although most UMKM are still in the early adaptation stage, some UMKM have managed to experience significant growth by utilizing digital transformation. Social media acts as a digital storefront that expands the product distribution network, increases tourism business occupancy, and strengthens the economic identity of the village. However, limited production capacity, digital literacy, and human resource readiness are the main obstacles that need to be overcome. This research emphasizes that economic transformation based on UMKM in villages requires institutional support, community collaboration, and policies that favor strengthening the capacity of UMKM.
