- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of employee creativity and perceived organizational support on the job satisfaction of Civil Servant Educators at Banyuwangi State Polytechnic (Poliwangi), Indonesia. Job satisfaction is pivotal to organisational sustainability, as it ensures employees remain motivated and committed. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected through structured questionnaires distributed to the entire population of Civil Servant Educators at Poliwangi. Using a saturated sampling technique, 138 valid responses were obtained. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that both employee creativity and perceived organizational support positively and significantly affect job satisfaction. Creativity enhances satisfaction by enabling employees to express innovative ideas through training, workshops, and collaborative efforts. Simultaneously, organizational support, reflected in trust, recognition, effective communication, and a supportive environment, strengthens employees’ sense of belonging and further elevates their job satisfaction. Theoretically, this study contributes to human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence on the determinants of job satisfaction within the under-researched context of Indonesian vocational higher education. In practice, the findings suggest that institutional policies aimed at fostering creativity and enhancing tangible organisational support can significantly improve job satisfaction. This, in turn, fosters higher engagement, motivation, and institutional performance. The study offers originality by focusing on a vocational institution facing unique challenges, such as resource constraints and increased workloads, and by highlighting the critical synergy between employee creativity and organisational support in maintaining high job satisfaction within a competitive educational environment.
