- Abstract
Civil engineering education students must possess strong pedagogical skills because they are educated to effectively transition into vocational high school teaching roles. This study examines the influence of these pedagogical skills on the readiness of students at Universitas Negeri Semarang to become vocational educators. This study employed ex post facto survey design. This study involved 90 students from Civil Engineering Education program who have completed their teaching practice program at vocational schools. The data were collected using online questionnaires and analysed using regression analysis. The results showed that that pedagogical skill variable contributed to 52.2% of variability of students to become Vocational High School Teachers. The correlation coefficient of those two variables is 0,723 which can be interpreted as a strong correlation. It can be concluded that pedagogical skill have strong and significant influence on the readiness of students at Universitas Negeri Semarang to become vocational educators.
