- Abstract
Students, as part of society, share the responsibility for environmental sustainability. This responsibility is manifested in the form of environmentally caring behavior. Developing environmentally caring behavior is one of the educational tasks, including the responsibility of guidance and counseling teachers. School guidance and counseling programs must include activities to develop environmentally caring behavior. This article reviews the use of the written technique as a guidance and counseling service method to develop students’ environmentally caring behavior. The written technique used to develop environmentally caring behavior can be implemented through various activities such as writing short stories, poetry, personal experiences, and completing sentences. It is assumed that environmentally caring behavior will gradually develop through writing activities about environmental-related topics.
