Abstract

The development of learning media using augmented reality (AR) technology is crucial in increasing the effectiveness of technical learning, especially in the introduction of computer hardware. Amidst the advancement of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, AR technology offers immersive and interactive visualizations that can enrich students’ learning experiences. This study aims to develop effective and interesting AR-based learning media, using the ADDIE method which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The main focus of the analysis is to identify the needs of students and teachers in understanding hardware, while the design is based on the development of interactive content that utilizes 3D visualization and simulation of hardware work processes. The result is the development of effective AR learning media, which utilizes AR capabilities to present a more immersive and interactive learning experience. Recommendations from this study include expanding the use of AR in various aspects of technical education to increase the interactivity and effectiveness of learning. Educational institutions are advised to invest in the development of AR resources and teacher training to maximize the potential of this technology.
