Abstract

Sustainable development is the development that improves the quality of life. There are 17 goals called SDGs One of the efforts to realize the SDGs is through education namely ESD. The implementation of ESD in science learning is done by IBL and STEAM. Integrating both will develop students’ science process skills in conducting investigations. This study aims to produce 1) i-STEAM model design to develop students’ science process skills, 2) valid and reliable instruments to measure students’ science process skills, and 3) i-STEAM practicality to improve students’ science process skills on temperature and heat topics. The research method used was research and development, and the data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests. The instrument used was a validation sheet and a science process skills assessment instrument. Data analysis used Aiken’s V theory, Rasch model, and T-test. The i-STEAM model design has stages: orientation, problem formulation, hypothesis development, experiments, conclusion, and communication. The stages contain the components of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Instrument to measure science process skills with 20 valid and reliable items. The i-STEAM model is practically used in science learning to significantly improve and practice science process skills.
