Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational tools is essential for familiarizing students with AI technology, its benefits, and applications. This study centers on the development, performance evaluation, and feasibility assessment of an Image-Based Sorting Machine as a Training Kit designed for learning Artificial Neural Networks. The research utilized a comprehensive ten-stage development process, incorporating methods such as testing, observation, and questionnaires for data collection. The training kit was meticulously evaluated by two media experts and two subject matter experts, receiving a high feasibility score of 91.88%. Additionally, a product usage test was conducted with 20 students from the Electronics Engineering Education program at Yogyakarta State University, resulting in a favorable reception and a score of 81.88%. With an impressively low error rate of only 2.5%, this learning trainer has demonstrated its high suitability for courses on intelligent control systems, proving to be an effective and practical educational tool. This study underscores the value of integrating advanced AI tools into educational curricula to enhance learning outcomes and practical skills in AI-related technologies.
