Abstract

This research is a narrative review that aims to identify the challenges and opportunities primary school teachers face in educating the Alpha Generation in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045. This research uses an analytical descriptive approach by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing literature from various relevant sources. The results show that the main challenges faced include the technology gap between students and teachers, integration of character education with academics, school and family collaboration, teacher professional development, and inclusiveness. However, there are great opportunities to leverage technology to improve learning quality, strengthen school-family partnerships, and develop ongoing training programs for teachers. Adaptive and responsive policy support is also crucial in overcoming these challenges. By optimizing these opportunities, primary education is expected to play a significant role in realizing the SDGs and the Golden Indonesia Vision 2045 and forming a generation ready to face global challenges and contribute positively to national development.
