Abstract

Accurate and precise physical measurements can provide a picture of the development of motor skills in young badminton players. Technology can be implemented as a tool to provide an overview of the performance of young badminton players, so that training programs can be developed based on data and used as a portfolio of the players’ progress. The purpose of this study is to analyses the physical performance of young badminton players through the role of technology in the development of continuous motor skills. The physical condition test and measurement methods were carried out through test and measurement procedures and utilized technology that measured ten components of physical condition. The results of the study indicate that through tests and measurements conducted directly and in collaboration with technology, it is possible to obtain a badminton player portfolio that includes 10 physical condition components, namely reaction, balance, strength, flexibility, accuracy, coordination, agility, speed, muscular power, and endurance tests, as well as to identify weaknesses experienced by young badminton players. The novelty of this research is the design of tests and measurements of the physical condition of young badminton players based on the use of technology as a digital analysis tool.
