Abstract

Education is an interactive process involving teachers as learning facilitators and students as active participants. The success of the learning process is significantly influenced by the strategies implemented, one of which is the use of learning media. This research aims to examine the creation and advancement of impactful educational media in enhancing critical thinking and creativity skills of vocational high school students. Using a qualitative approach, this study adopts a literature review technique to collect data from various related literature sources. The data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion formulation. The results of the study show that the development of learning media plays a very important role in improving the critical thinking and creativity skills of vocational high school students. The application of media such as simulations, games, and projects has proven to be effective in training students to think critically and creatively. In addition, the selection of learning media that is suitable for students’ interests and needs, as well as the utilization of relevant technology, is also a key factor in the success of the learning process. Thus, the development of innovative learning media is a strategic step in preparing vocational high school students to face the increasingly complex challenges of the workforce.
