Abstract

In the context of global economic integration and intensified regional competition, the impact of geographical diversity on the development of local specialized economy has attracted increasing attention. The natural resources, geographical characteristics and climatic conditions of different regions provide unique advantages and challenges for their economic development. Geographical differences not only shape the regional spatial layout, but also attract more investment and human capital through the agglomeration effect of enterprises and universities, which brings significant growth potential to the region. The coordinated development strategy has formed a strong joint force by combining the advantages of various regions and sharing management knowledge and technology. It is worth noting that ecosystems generally exhibit diversity and resilience in areas with different topography and climates, which contribute sustainable local economic growth. This paper integrates and examines previous studies to explore why and how geographic diversity supports and promotes the development of local specialized economies. The paper further concludes that strategic measures such as deep processing, efficient transportation system, ecotourism and renewable energy can effectively promote local economic growth. Therefore, when choosing development strategies, regions should fully consider their unique geographical and resource advantages to maximize the comparative advantages brought about by geographical diversity.
