- Abstract
The acquisition of language extends beyond the mastery of linguistic skills and should be more focused on enhancing the cognitive abilities of learners. This study, grounded in Bloom’s Taxonomy of Educational Objectives, explores and constructs a model specifically designed to foster the thinking quality of students in the context of middle school English reading instruction. The primary objective of this research is to propose an effective teaching model that promotes students’ logical, dialectical, and creative thinking by analyzing and discussing various definitions and developmental pathways of thinking quality. The model for developing thinking quality in teaching English reading proposed in this study underscores the significance of logical, dialectical, and creative thinking.
