Welcome to the Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on History, Social Sciences, and Education (ICHSE 2026). Under the theme “Oral History for Social Transformation: Inclusivity, Democracy, and Equality,” the conference brought together scholars, educators, students, researchers, practitioners, artist, and community members to examine the role of oral history in producing more inclusive and socially meaningful understandings of the past. The papers demonstrate the breadth of current research at the intersection of history, social sciences, and education. They address oral history, local and community history, historical memory, heritage preservation, history education, gender, cultural identity, museums, digital heritage, environmental sustainability, and the democratisation of historical knowledge.
