- Abstract
Barangay Talipapa and Tandang Sora are two traditional barrios in Quezon City. This research will explore the history, culture, and societal narratives of the two communities through existing historical documents. Drawing on these existing documents, the researcher aims to craft a cohesive narrative that encompasses the region’s historical, cultural, and social aspects, focusing on its people, society, cultural life, and geographic significance. The researcher will also discuss the importance of prominent individuals, such as politicians, who have been integral to understanding the history of Barangays Talipapa and Tandang Sora, from their humble beginnings in Caloocan to their establishment as separate barangays in Quezon City. The research will provide us with a better understanding of how the people of Barrio Talipapa have contributed to shaping the community from the earliest available time to the present. Additionally, the research will provide an overview of the community’s society and culture.
