Abstract

Against the backdrop of the national implementation of the “Healthy China 2030” strategy, the construction of a mental health service system has become an important part of the national public health cause. The “Healthy China 2030” plan clearly proposes to “promote mental health” and emphasizes the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in disease prevention and treatment. This study focuses on the national health strategy needs and systematically explores the construction of an aesthetic theory system of music therapy based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) holism. The study finds that the core theories of TCM, such as “unity of form and spirit” and “correspondence between heaven and humanity,” provide a profound philosophical basis for music therapy, and the correspondence between the five tones and the five viscera constitutes its core aesthetic mechanism. The study innovatively proposes a “sound-qi-spirit” collaborative intervention theoretical model, constructs an aesthetic logic system comprising three dimensions of natural aesthetics, emotional aesthetics, and ethical aesthetics, and designs a localized music therapy framework in line with Chinese cultural psychology. This research not only provides theoretical support for establishing a mental health service system with Chinese characteristics but also offers a practical path for the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine culture, which is of great significance for implementing the national health strategy.
