- Abstract
Lu Xun is a master of modern Chinese literature, and his novels are known for their unique artistic style and profound ideological content. In his novels, there are a large number of images endowed with profound symbolic meaning, and “dog” is one of the typical images. In Lu Xun’s writing, “dog” is not only an animal, but also a reflection of social reality and the characteristics of human nature, which is of great value in understanding Lu Xun’s literary world and his thoughts on society and human nature. The full text aims to explore in depth the image of “dog” in Lu Xun’s novels and its rich connotations. By sorting out and analyzing the images of “dog” in many of Lu Xun’s works, the article reveals the multiple meanings carried by the “dog” image, such as social criticism and human nature revelation, and shows the artistic charm of Lu Xun’ s use of the “dog” image to express profound thoughts.
