Abstract

In recent years, the applications of virtual reality technology have gradually expanded into various fields, including gaming, tourism, education, film and television, and even news. The rapid development and widespread adoption of new technologies have significantly transformed the way news is shared, presenting the news industry with unprecedented challenges. Currently, virtual reality (VR) technology is gaining considerable attention, and various media outlets are experimenting with VR news applications. However, whether considering the overall evolution of the news industry or the ongoing innovations in communication technology, the user experience of the audience re-mains a crucial factor that must not be overlooked. This article employs scenario theory to analyze different types of VR news through the lens of user experience, focusing on panoramic news and modeling news. It discusses the immersive and narrative aspects of VR news that cater to the audience's personalized preferences and explores the challenges these innovations face, aiming to provide both theoretical insights and practical guidance for the sustainable growth of VR news.
