The results of this study indicate that in the mappamula tradition consists of three series of processional stages, namely; the first stage of preparation including: preparing and completing equipment. second implementation including: cleaning yourself and praying, purifying rice, cutting rice, tying rice with bark and sowing popcorn. the third final stage is storing rice in the center of the house or the middle of the building. The symbols contained in the tradition are, parakuyan or pottery as a symbol of strength and sturdiness, incense as a symbol of faith or belief, fragrant oil as a symbol of cleansing to purify, sengkeru or woven leaves as a symbol of settling and blessing, bark as a symbol of benefits and life, betel leaves as a symbol of means of offering or connecting in prayer, waru leaves as a symbol of quality, areca nut as a symbol of goodness, coconut as a symbol of taste and pleasure, brown sugar as a symbol of sweetness and popcorn as a symbol of calling.
