- Abstract
The topic of learning styles has been a topic of many discussions and debate among scholars, with some scholars suggesting that it is a useful and effective tool for teachers as well as a tool for learners to improve performance academically and make it easier to learn and retain information, while the skeptics claim that the validity as well research has been flawed. This preliminary study will use the VARK learning style test, using the version of the Traditional character to suit Taiwanese learners and test the effectiveness of the learning style teaching Hebrew words to Taiwanese students.20 Hebrew words will be taught in 2 groups of 10. Each group of words will be taught in either a visual or auditory style. After instruction, students were tested on a word recognition test to evaluate their retention of the Hebrew words. This study hypothesized that results would match their learning style. This preliminary study of subjects is the basis for further investigation. The implication will help create better language instruction courses and better learning for learners.
