Abstract

This study aimed to explore teachers’ perspectives on sustainable organizational justice using the phenomenological research method. Conducted during the 2023–24 academic year, the research involved 34 teachers in the central district of Bolu. Data collection employed semi-structured interviews, and content analysis was utilized for data interpretation. According to the study findings, teachers emphasized the importance of interactional justice when evaluating the fairness of school principals and identified a fair school principal as someone with impartiality and objectivity, treating everyone equally. In schools lacking sustainable organizational justice, common observations included cliques and relationships based on personal interests. Teachers either remained silent in the face of injustices or addressed concerns directly with the school principal to assert their rights. It is crucial for school principals to cultivate a democratic school climate to foster sustainable organizational justice. This includes modeling fair behavior, equitably distributing duties and responsibilities, and ensuring inclusive decision-making processes. Based on these findings, recommendations for promoting sustainable organizational justice include maintaining open communication channels, prioritizing democratic school climates and participation, and adopting inclusive and participatory management approaches in decision-making and practices.
