- Abstract
This research aims to examine the influence of the visual design of territorial boundaries on the player’s experience in an open world themed adventure game, with a focus on the role of visible or invisible territorial boundaries in creating a sense of immersion. In adventure games, territorial boundaries function as both a physical barrier and an important element in shaping the player’s psychological dynamics. The method used is qualitative research with a visual content analysis approach, to explore symbolism, color and use of space in regional boundary design. This research also examines how visible or hidden territorial boundaries influence players’ interactions with virtual worlds and the level of perceived immersion. The research results show that interpretation of territorial boundaries is strongly influenced by the visual elements presented. These visual elements influence emotional dimensions. In conclusion, proper boundary design can deepen the experience and increase the sense of immersion in the game.
