- Abstract
This study aims to determine the community’s understanding of traditional knowledge in efforts to prevent stunting in Bireuen Regency. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The types of research are qualitative approach. Informants who in their capacity were considered to understand the research variables. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, observations, documentation studies and literature. The results of this study found that the community in Bireuen Regency did not fully understand traditional knowledge in preventing stunting. Fluctuations in the number of stunted children that occurred in Bireuen Regency occurred due to social, economic factors, and low health access services. Multi-Sector Collaboration, namely stunting prevention programs in various sectors, such as agriculture, education, and health. The community must be given an understanding of the diversification of nutritious foods, as well as how to utilize local food ingredients to prevent stunting.
