- Abstract
Film is a form of literary work that reflects the reality of life. This research aims to analyze the representation of bourgeois self-image in social media shown in the film Burn the House Down (2023). The approach used in this research is a mimetic approach with qualitative research methods. The data collection technique is done by analyzing the potential of social media in building the self-image of the bourgeoisie, using mimetic theory as the basis of analysis. The results of this study are expected to provide a deeper understanding of how social media is used as a tool for the bourgeoisie in shaping and maintaining their self-image in society.
