- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of livability Nagari Taruang-Taruang, West Sumatera using the gap analysis method. This is to identify improvement priorities based on community perceptions. Data were collected through a questionnaire covering indicators of livability such as infrastructure, sanitation, access to education, health, and security. A Likert scale was used to measure the level of importance and satisfaction for each indicator. The results of the analysis showed that 37.14% of indicators required improvement, this include street lighting as the highest priority. Other indicators such as the availability of waste disposal facilities, clean water, maintenance of sewerage and clean water, unemployment rate, family income, employment opportunities and selling opportunity were also included as high priorities. Recommendations for improvement include infrastructure development, skills training, and community empowerment. This study concludes that collaboration involving government and society is needed to improve the quality of livability sustainably.
