Abstract

This research examines the impact of organizational image on the academic satisfaction of senior students at a private university in Metropolitan Lima. Using a quantitative explanatory approach with a non-experimental design, 200 students were surveyed face-to-face. A structural equation model was proposed to analyze the effect of cognitive and affective image on overall organizational image, and its subsequent influence on academic satisfaction.

The findings reveal that the cognitive image, composed of tangible, functional and experiential elements of the university, exerts a greater influence on the organizational image than the affective image, made up of emotional components. Likewise, it was confirmed that organizational image has a positive and significant impact on student academic satisfaction (p < 0.05).

These results suggest that university institutions should prioritize communication strategies focused on rational and tangible aspects to optimize student satisfaction. The research contributes to the understanding of perceptual dynamics in higher education and provides foundations for the strategic management of organizational image as a determinant of student academic wellbeing.
