- Abstract
This paper analyzes the process of developing a public education policy to improve initial teacher training and its specific implementation through a video-based methodological strategy. This analysis takes place within the context of the establishment and consolidation of the National University of Education of Ecuador (UNAE-Ecuador), outlining its origins, principles, and specific advances. First, the institutional research background is presented, along with an assessment of the theoretical and methodological foundations that converged in its institutional creation. Second, the significance of the integration of its Pedagogical Model [1] is specified, which serves as the basis for completing this process with a video-based teacher training strategy based on Lesson Study principles [2] and the Course of Action approach of the Neopass program [3, 4].
