Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bullying behavior on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Jember Regency. The study was conducted in four schools, namely SDN Kepatihan 03, SDN Slawu 02, SDN Kebonsari 03, and SDN Ajung 03 with a total of 103 respondents selected by purposive sampling. The method used is a quantitative correlational approach with data collection through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Statistical analysis using Pearson's Product Moment correlation showed a moderate negative relationship between bullying behavior and student learning outcomes, with a correlation coefficient of −0.405 and a t-test of -4.46 which showed significant results. Although bullying has been shown to affect learning outcomes, it is not a dominant factor. The results of observations and interviews showed that student learning achievement is also influenced by internal factors such as motivation, self-regulation, and emotional resilience, as well as external factors such as teacher support and the school environment. Therefore, although bullying has an impact on student learning outcomes, creating a supportive and safe school climate remains important to ensure optimal learning.
