Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationships among leadership, self-acceptance, social support, commitment, and police performance in Indonesia, focusing on strategies for improvement and sustainable development. Using a quantitative approach, data were analyzed with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings indicate that leadership positively influences commitment (H1: 0.607, p = 0.000), while self-acceptance (H2: 0.694, p = 0.000) and social support (H3: 0.691, p = 0.000) also significantly enhance commitment. Furthermore, commitment has a positive effect on performance (H4: 0.434, p = 0.000). The study also reveals that self-acceptance positively impacts leadership (H5: 0.809, p = 0.000), and leadership fosters social support (H6: 0.777, p = 0.000). Social support (H7: 0.634, p = 0.000) and self-acceptance (H8: 0.691, p = 0.000) directly contribute to improved performance. Indirect effects show that leadership, self-acceptance, and social support positively impact performance through commitment (H9: Leadership -> Commitment -> Performance: 0.030, p = 0.012; Self-Acceptance -> Commitment -> Performance: 0.088, p = 0.005; Social Support -> Commitment -> Performance: 0.300, p = 0.000). The results highlight the critical role of leadership, self-acceptance, and social support in shaping commitment and enhancing performance, offering actionable insights for improving police effectiveness and fostering sustainable development in Indonesia. first, second, and third level headings (first level heading) (Use the Microsoft Word template style: Heading 1) or (Use Times New Roman Font: 12 pt, Bold, ALLCAPS, Centered).
