- Abstract
The study aims to determine the directions that can be implemented in improving the quality of Public Open Spaces in Palu Bay based on visitor perceptions and preferences so that it is expected to be a consideration in planning and designing to support the creation of quality public open spaces. Data collection was carried out using observation, questionnaire and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the quality presented by Public Open Space has not fully responded to visitor perceptions and preferences, so the direction for improving the quality of Public Open Space in Palu Bay produces an increase in quality in general that can be done in terms of responsiveness to (comfort, security, passive and active involvement, and safety), democratic to rights including (accessibility and freedom of activity), meaningful to meaning including legitimacy, attractions and destinations.
