- Abstract
Waste is one of the problems in the campus environment, especially at the Faculty of Engineering, Tadulako University, along with the increasing number of students every year. This also has an impact on increasing the volume of waste produced and even causes a lot of waste to be scattered and not processed properly, so it is necessary to plan for independent waste management and processing at the Faculty of Engineering. The aim of this research is to determine the composition of waste, waste generation and existing waste management systems. This research was carried out at 40 temporary waste disposal and storage points in 5 departments, namely Civil Engineering, Architectural, Informatics, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The research that has been carried out uses a quantitative approach and data collection methods based on SNI 19-3694-1994 concerning Methods for collecting and measuring samples of urban waste generation and composition. The average volume produced/day is 1.38092 m3. The need for waste processing (TPS 3R) at the Faculty of Engineering is a location with an area of 28.00 m x 10.00 m.
