- Abstract
Past researchers have viewed the conflicts between Palestinians and Israelis from cultural, economic, and historical perspectives. This article emphasizes domestic institutional factors such as the lack of an effective election in Palestine as well as a fragmented political landscape and strengthened small parties in Israel. Neither side is incentivized to incline toward a peace process, and both side is willing to see a continuation of the current cycle of conflict.
