Abstract

Kids-friendly hotels are an important element in building a strong foundation for the active participation of children and young people in education and sustainable development. In the context of current social and environmental developments, the provision of infrastructure and accommodation services that are responsive to children’s needs not only impacts comfort but also accessibility, equity, and their empowerment as agents of change. Children are increasingly recognised as important stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry, not only as passive consumers but also as potential agents of change who can support sustainable and responsible tourism. This study aims to explore the distribution structure of Child-friendly hotels as a means to promote education and sustainable tourism. By analyzing family-oriented hotels, child-focused facilities, and educational programs, this study identifies strategies to engage young travelers in sustainability initiatives. Findings suggest that the distribution of kid-friendly hotels can explore the interest in staying at child-friendly hotels and that tailored needs of family hotel guests can increase children’s awareness and involvement, ultimately contributing to long-term sustainable tourism goals.
