- Abstract
Muslim friendly, Islamic, or Halal Tourism has an important role in halal industry ecosystem in Indonesia. West Sumatera is one of ten province halal tourism priority. This study purpose to measure the effect of traveler’s trip quality and trip experience on traveler’s loyalty to Halal tourism destination in West Sumatera. A total of 125 travelers who had visited West Sumatera were surveyed. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model which is processed by SMART PLS analysis tool to examine the proposed model. The findings showed that infrastructure and halal product have significantly impact on trip quality. Nevertheless, halal facilities have not significantly impact on it. The Islamic culture has a significant impact on trip experience. Furthermore, trip experience has a significant impact to travelers’ satisfaction, but trip quality has not significant with it. Finally, this study reveals find satisfaction has significant effect on traveler’s loyalty. This study provides new insight into halal tourism especially halal tourism development. The contribution of this study is useful for government, tourism operators, marketer and halal businessman to enhance and develop halal destination.
