- Abstract
This research aims to analyze the strategies of street vendors (PKL) as informal workers in East Jakarta in achieving household economic resilience. The economic resilience of PKL households is examined based on: sociodemographic characteristics, PKL selling locations (local government assisted locations, temporary locations, base/fixed locations, and hawkers), and social capital. The approach used is quantitative, collecting structured questionnaire responses from 420 respondents. Quantitative data results are analyzed using Lisrel and SPSS software. PKL with high economic resilience are those in guided locations, non-lifetime migrants, and have high incomes. Types of PKL based on trading location, gender, and income significantly influence social capital as an intervening variable. Social capital also significantly affects the economic resilience of PKL households in East Jakarta. The trading location of PKL in East Jakarta influences their household economic resilience.
