Abstract

This paper examines Indonesia’s position in the global talent competition, commonly referred to as the Global War for Talent. By analyzing Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) in 2020 to 2023, this study provides a comprehensive assessment of Indonesia’s talent global competitiveness position and elaborate its strategic meanings and implication associated with (rhetoric) demographic bonus, global education assessment, and the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. This paper examines the importance of effective talent management strategies to harness the abundant potential of Indonesia’s human resources and develop them to drive economic development and sustain Indonesian global competitiveness.
