- Abstract
The study examines the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize citizen engagement platforms in creating sustainable urban futures, inclusive policy-making and community-oriented smart government. So, we contribute to a body of literature mainly centred on theory or about a specific AI application, in addition, this study provides empirical insights and pragmatic frameworks enhancing the real-life deployment of AI for urban governance, sustains and strengthens it. Filling the voids present in citizen engagement technologies, stale perspectives in citizen engagement, and a lack of diversity within case studies, this paper aims to offer tangible solutions to implement AI tools with the goal of enhancing citizen agency, decision-making processes, and inclusive policies. Context-aware, AI-driven platforms that can assist citizens in discussing their problems and expectations with policymakers can create opportunities for a more connected, transparent, responsive, and adaptive urban governance framework. By deeply examining the latest advancements in AI, this project seeks to foster the emergence of smarter, more participatory cities, empowering citizens to play a co-architectural role in their built environments.
