Abstract

Currently, education needs to be integrated with technology. One form of this is digital-based teaching materials. Apart from being packaged digitally, teaching materials must also be based on relevant case-solving to the demands of learning competencies. This study aims to develop digital learning materials based on the case method in the form of the web in geography subjects, especially the topic of Remote Sensing. The type of this research is developing research that refers to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The web-based case method was validated by experts. The results showed the developed digital learning materials based on the case method on the web are very feasible to apply in learning. Furthermore, the web-based learning materials were applied to geography learning in the Geography Learning Media Course in the Department of Geography Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Medan. There were positive responses of lecturer and students towards digital learning materials, in the very good category. Web-based learning materials and media were also able to improve independence and learning outcomes.
