- Abstract
This study examines the accessibility of healthcare facilities in Pantai Labu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia, by assessing spatial and infrastructural barriers to healthcare access. Using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools, the study maps healthcare facility locations and evaluates accessibility based on road networks and travel distances. The findings reveal significant disparities, with villages more than 5 km from healthcare centers experiencing long travel times and inadequate road infrastructure. The study emphasizes the need for interventions such as improved road infrastructure, the establishment of additional healthcare facilities, and mobile healthcare services for remote areas. These recommendations aim to reduce geographical barriers, enhancing healthcare access and supporting equitable healthcare delivery in rural Indonesia.
