Abstract

The paper tries to examine the possibilities of applying smart education in green education environment. India being a country with rapid industrialization and urbanization, the awareness of youth on environmental issues pertaining in India especially pollution, solid waste management, bio diversity loss etc., is utmost important. It is the only way to sustainable development. For this to happen the policies as well as the action taken should corollary with the education system of India. The education in India is in the transitional phase of moving from conventional method of blackboard and lecture teaching to the use of Personalized learning, AI and Smart classroom leading to a hybrid and virtual mode of smart education. Considering the period in which both the green as well as smart education is necessary, the research found it evident to dive deep into the possibilities of amalgamating both to provides a new spectrum that it may bring in the field of education. The researcher develops a smart education design on a green curriculum based on Demir (2021) smart education framework, for improving sustainable growth. The design provides a comprehensive view of the technologies to be used while teaching climate education.
