- Abstract
This study examines students’ awareness, perceptions, and challenges in using Quick Response (QR) codes within academic environments. Conducted among 400 first-semester B.A. and B.Sc. Students, the case study follows a descriptive design and utilizes questionnaires to evaluate students’ familiarity, ease of use, and the obstacles encountered while using QR code technology. The findings indicate that 40% of the students were able to scan QR codes successfully and access online forms without difficulty. However, many students faced challenges arising from limited digital literacy, unstable internet connectivity, inadequate knowledge of smart phone functions, and a lack of trust in digital tools. Some specific cases revealed issues such as fear of scanning, unawareness of the educational applications of QR codes, and reliance on peers for assistance. Despite these difficulties, QR codes demonstrate significant potential in improving access to digital resources, streamlining administrative tasks, and fostering interactive learning. The study suggests that implementing digital literacy training, peer support systems, and awareness programs can enhance students’ confidence and participation in technology-driven education. When effectively adopted, QR codes can serve as an essential link between physical and digital learning spaces, promoting accessibility, efficiency, and engagement in contemporary education.
