- Abstract
Transnational railway projects are critical to fostering international connectivity and economic integration, but they also involve significant complexity and risks that often lead to claim disputes. These disputes, arising from contractual ambiguities, cultural differences, and regulatory misalignments, can delay project timelines, inflate costs, and damage stakeholder relationships. This paper explores key strategies for preventing and managing claim disputes in transnational railway projects. The paper also addresses limitations in the study—specifically, the generalizability of findings due to the unique contexts of case studies—and provides an in-depth examination of Dispute Resolution Boards (DRBs), their composition, and role in practical applications.
