Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between School Well-Being and Student Engagement in students of SMP Pangeran Antasari. The research was conducted using a quantitative method and involved 131 student respondents. The sample was drawn through Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data were collected using two measurement instruments: the Student Engagement scale containing 32 items and the School Well-Being scale containing 33 items.. Data was analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with the help of SPSS version 22. The results revealed a correlation coefficient ( r = 0.655 ) with a significance value ( p = 0.000 , p < 0.05 ), indicating a strong and positive relationship between School Well-Being and Student Engagement. The coefficient of determination ( R 2 = 0.429 ) suggests that School Well-Being contributes 42.9% to Student Engagement, while the remaining 57.1% is influenced by by other factors outside of this research. This finding confirms that the higher students’ well-being at school, the higher their engagement in the learning process.
