Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between Self-Efficacy and Student Engagement among students at SMA Global Prima. The research was conducted using a quantitative method and involved 110 student respondents. The sample was drawn through Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling. Data were collected using two measurement instruments: the Student Engagement scale containing 32 items and the Self-Efficacy scale containing 29 items. The data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation and processed with SPSS Statistics 22 for Windows. The results revealed a correlation coefficient ( r = 0.668 ) with a significance value ( p = 0.000 , p < 0.05 ), indicating a strong and positive relationship between Self-Efficacy and Student Engagement. The coefficient of determination ( R 2 = 0.446 ) suggests that Self-Efficacy contributes 44.6% to Student Engagement, while the remaining 55.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. These findings highlight the important role of Self-Efficacy in enhancing Student Engagement among high school students.
